Just got a biocube 14 for my bday! But I dont know what I want to do with it. I was thinking reef with easy corals like polyps and some LPS.however, I was also thinking about a seahorse/pipefish/mandarin tank. I want to do something unusual. Any ideas?

Hi, Happy belated Birthday!
Most seahorse tanks need to be at least 30g, unless you go with dwarfs, and they require live shrimp to live, so you would have to harvest the brine shrimp to keep them. The others that need the larger tank, will eat frozen mysis.
Without a refugium forget about a Mandarin or a pipefish. They need tons and tons of copepods. So I really think you need to choose something else.
There are lots of unusual critters in the sea....get a book on marine life and check out what is out there, and then go online and find it...but before you get it, read all about it's needs and care.

Oh ok. Well I actually set it up like 2 days ago...just put a couple of pieces of rock. I think I'm going to try to find a nice pair of black occelaris clowns and a rbta because I LOVE clownfish, but I can't keep them in my larger tank cuz of my lion fish aka vacuum cleaner. Maybe some cleaner shrimp too. Thanks for the advice. I will def keep the goby and shrimp in mind.
