if i want to add more live rock, how do i do it? I would like to add more on top of the rock that i already have so my question is what is a good way to stack it, and if i lay a peice of new live rock on the glass wall what is a good way to keep it from stratching the wall? and when i get more live rock do i have to take out my fish to add it?

I would suggest getting LR from your LFS that is cured if you already have fish. Or you can cure it seperately in a trash can for a few weeks. Do a search that will yield you much info. I wouldnt worry about scratching your glass, especially on the back wall. As time goes on it will become encrusted with coraline aglae anyway. And glass is pretty hard to scratch, I think i have one small scratch after 6 years.

Nice to see those lights!! Your first steps to a reef, IMO are more rock (as already stated) Lots more rock, a protien skimmer, if you haven't gotten one yet. Oh yeah, and books...Lots of books.

I wouldn't use the glass as a sole means of support. But as already stated, if a few pieces touch it, it wouldn't do much harm. I'll tell you what I did. But it took a lot of rearranging, every time I bought new rock. I put the biggest pieces on the bottum, the next biggest on top of those, and the smallest towards the top. Kinda pyramid style, that way they are supported by the rocks under them. But be careful that you don't simply balance them and risk one toppling down and colliding with the glass. That wouldn't be pretty.
And remember... Don't add uncured rock!!
