Iden of this angel

ME and my friend having a discussion about this angel. IT is so beautiful. Is it a Blue Angel or Queen Angel ? She got a yellow belly and tail , i putting my money on QUEEN. BUt just want you expert out there to made sure it.

that's a tough one...it's got a lot of blue in it, but if i had to make an educated guess i'd say it is a queen

Looks like a queen. Here is some info.
"The juveniles of the blue and the queen angelfish are so similar in appearance that the only way to distinguish them from one another is to note the curvature of the bars on the body. The bars on the juvenile blue angel tend to be straighter than those of the juvenile queen angel. As juveniles grow, their color gradually changes from the dark blues of youth to the blues, greens, and yellows of the adults."

osufarker, has the clues right but guessed wrong. The fourth bar is the one you look at and that one in the pic IS straight plus the eyes are dark and queens have yellow eyes. So my guess is a blue. All though could be a hybred cuase the two can cross breed.:thinking:

It is a blue and if it lets me post a pic, I can show you why I think so...
Of course not...:rolleyes:
But I found pics of a juvi blue, a juvi queen and even a cross breed and it's pretty much identicle to the blue. If you wanna leave your email, I'll shoot you the pics.:)

Looked curved to me in the picture. I guess thats why I bought my queen as an adult since I can't seem to tell the difference of the juvies. :D

Yours is a blue angel.
I am 100% absolutely, positively, almost sure.
Can't wait til it's bigger though. Curiosity is killin' me.:D

tizzo could possibly be right, it's frustrating when 2 fish look so much alike although i've never seen a blue with that much blue on it as a juvy.
