Actually it's a sessile Sea Cucumber. If you watch it you will see it rhythmically pull each of it's 10 arms one by one into it's mouth to eat anything it traps. Mostly detritus.
Thank you! I did see it pull its arms into its mouth over and over again... I have never encountered aiptasia before though, so I was unsure of its demeanor.
I am not finding much information about the sessile sea cucumber online. Is it safe to stay in my tank, or do I need to remove that rock and find a way to get rid of him?
