Identify a mantis?

Is this a Mantis shrimp? I just got it in on my live rock shipment today. I have separated it out of the rock. Aslo found a small anenome and don't know if I should keep it out of my tank also.

Yes that looks like a peacock mantis. Either kill it or put it in an acrylic species only tank.

thanks I thought it was but had never seen one befor ..It's still alive but I don't think it will be for long. I really hate to kill stuff. I try to just let things live until it causes trouble or I find something natural to eat it. I think it has live its total life now, it's about 1.5". I really feel bad having to kill it though.

This thing is kinda cool lookin.....the underside is blue and it has blue claws.....yellow spots....I wish I had an extra tank to keep it in. May be I can keep it alive until I can go get one of my other tanks from my brothers house.

Get a little one from the pet store. They are made of a thin plastic and have the tops that pop off. You can put it above the tank and have a powerhead pump water up and into it and have it drain back down into the tank (via a hole) or you can have it pump next to your tank and pump into it and then have it drain into your sump if you have one. I have a pet MS and they are so cool.
