OK...in the LFS it was listed as an elephant ear coral, which I read up on...but now I can't seem to get the species to match...anyone know what this is?

And this damsel doesn't match anything I can find either. Thanks everyone.

Yep, looks more like a cabbage coral. Elephant ear mushroooms look very different from that. They are large mushrooms they look hairy in the center but the margin is bald, sort of.
I don't know the name of that damsel. I have seen quite a number of different damsels and I am sure there a a lot more I haven't. Is it worth knowing the name or the temperament. I can only guess that it is territorial and bully just like his cousins. I am, however, curious as to what the three chromis are talking about. :D

The coral looks like a sinularia dura or cabbage leather. I've had one for close to 18 months now. It has proven to be a very hardy/adaptale coral....mine has been fragged several times with practically no effort on my part. Below is a pic of one of the frags from about 7-8 months ago. Currently I have the origional piece and 2 smaller frags. Mine seems to do best in moderate current and light.

The fish I'm not sure about....hopefully a member can positive ID it for you.

Thanks for the replies so far, don't you wish everything you bought matched the book photo????
The damsel (someone suggested is a honey suckle damsel) I can't find anything on, but he seems to behave medium-aggressive, and picked a spot he likes under the hammer coral. The green chromises are discussing his rent.
This tank has always been strange, we call it the gentle tank because so many different types of damsels get along in it. Anyone else know either another common name or the scientific name of the damsel?
