it is not a soft coral but a LPS and they are very hard to keep alive over a long time good luck with it i got 2 before someone told me how hard they are to keep alive over a long time it is said that they last about 6 to 9 months .

Welcome to the board. I bought one when I first started the hobby from Death-CO. GO FIGURE. Lasted nine months. At 6 months I thought all this was balarcky about them not living. Was wrong.
I just got one recently from my lfs whom i might add has some amazing corals and reef tanks. he has had this one now for about 14 months he claims. hope it will do ok in my tank
