If I put plants in my aquarium, would a tang eat the plants?

What about a trigger, would it eat the plants? If neither of these eat plants, do any saltwater fish eat the plants you put in the aquarium?

Depends, there are very few TRUE PLANTS that are common for tanks. Most are really algaes. Most tangs eat them but some of the algaes are too tough and only a few may. All really depends on the type of algaes and tangs...Same with triggers....
