I have decided for the sake of my bank account the I need to build a lighting system I have no idea what i'm doing so if I could just ask a few questions??
1. Do only certain bulbs fit certain ballast. And if the answer is yes are there any ballast that can hold a few different brands?
2. I would like to have 2 MH, 1 VHO, 1 NO at least 1 fan and a timer(s) does each component have to have its own socket. and if so is that too much for the normal house outlets w/ a strip?
3. If I build a basic hood how much will it weight (approx.) with the lighting described in ?#2.
4. Last but not least (for now that is ) If I plan on hanging this 8 to 10 in. from my tank what are ways to get move it when it comes time for tank cleanings and other things.
