Cool. I made a little 'Amazon Riverbed' type of freshwater tank, out of my old ten gallon aquairum. As soon as its ready, I'm going to search selecting fish. :happyfish I love the sound of the filter, or at least, my filter...its so soothing. The cascading water... :sleepy:
Good luck with your new tank.

What? Really? You mean the filter changes too? I haven't read that...what do you mean? I thought you could still use an external filter, with a 'Biowheel', and all that stuff. Uh-oh.

oh...thats what you mean. Okay, understand now. :) Well, my order from Petsmart should be coming Monday, with a good quality salt mix and conditioner, plus crushed florida coral for substrate and a lovely artificial rose coral...they were having a sale on airstones so I purchased one of those too. The whole thing came out to about 40 bucks, which was really nice! I went to a local shop and the crushed substrate they sold there was almost 40! That's ridiculous!

what are you using the airstones for?
have you cycled your tank ... what size is it ?

The airstone is for my freshwater tank. They were only a dollar something, so I figured I'd get one while they were so inexpensive, you know? Uh, what was your other question? Have I cycled my tank? The marine tank that I'm planning on starting? Or my freshwater? My freshwater has been doing very well for a few months now, but I haven't gotten my newest tank. I have to save some money up...I'm planning on bidding on one on E-bay, or maybe just getting one at my local dealer. I'll have to see the price difference, it very well may be less expensive in the long run to get one at my dealer and not have to worry about shipping...costa dn the possibility of damage. Why did you ask if my tank has been cycled?
