When I bought this 72 gallon tank it came with the following. I would like to start a reef tank and am not for sure if what i have will work. Do I need both of these Eheims or just one? If I need just one, which one would be best? Do i need a better lighting system? How many fish could i put in the tank? I will be using ls and lr. Your help is greatly appreciated!! Thanks a bunch!

if it was me i would prob use them all, IMO more filtration the better, the more times you turn over the tank the better.
I would get a better heater, i have a 250w in my 55 gal. My new 210 will have a 300w in the tank and a 300w in the sump, and I am not 100% if thats enough for the 210?

Hi chrisr3
Most reef tanks for go the wet/dry trickle filter and utilize live rock instead because of the elevated nitrate levels produced by trickle filters. Most inverts are intolerant of nitrate.

Phix,
i was told in under 100 gallons that I good trickle filter coupled with a great skimmer would get the job done nicley? Is this not the case?
