I didn't put a lid on my aquarium when I moved in with a room mate who had a cat! Those silly baby clowns... why did they think the cat was their friend? All the other fish would stay away, and those clowns would go "investigate" the cats paw in the water!!!

I was refering to doodles's statement. If you don't find that humorous, I'm sorry for you. But I am playing out in my head the way you misunderstood to whom I was giving props. Now that I see it the way you saw it, it STILL sounds pretty funny. Smarta$$, but funny. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

On a serious note..
I had a pair of clowns and one jumped out a few weeks ago. I put a Sebae (LFS was out of percs) in there to keep him company - they seem ok. But I think I'll go and get another perc..
felt like crap though when I found the guy on the floor.
As far as cat joke? Just like anything else its a joke, nothing else. Again I wouldn't hurt any animal. In fact I found 2 baby mice in my garage while washing it out - they were up against the garage wall, all soaking wet. I reached down with a towel, picked one up,a nd let it go in the yard. Then did the same thing to the other. Not kidding.. true story..
It was funny though when they both ran over to the neighbors yard.

actually, they probably would have been safer in your garage. They most likely met up w/ a snake, hawk, cat, dog, or maybe if they made it throught the day, they most definetly got picked up by an owl. lol.... but you did the nice thing, it's not your fault.
