been awhile since i had a real tank i sold my 55g and sold my 37g oceanic cube and now i have a 90grr. its a standered 90g with corner overflow 20g sump with an eshopps skimmer works well actually need to mesh mod it though. a quiet one return. in the tank is 2 maxijet 1200s with the mod and a closed loop with a little giant pump. like always i use black sand and i have about 120lbs of lr. im also adding a 10g fuge/seahorse display to the tank(in pics)
i know what light im gunna use if u remember me it will be t-5s. im going tek 8x54w and eventually overdrive a few just to have some fun. it will be a sps dominated tank. and clam. but here are some pics hope u like

Welcome back, looking really good. I do remember some of your older tanks. I have been gone for a little bit as well and came back with a 60 gallon cube. So I went the opposite and downsized. Well good luck with this tank, no doubt it will look amazing as well.

Very nice start. Has it cycled yet? Can't wait to see it with some life in it. Keep us updated.

Have you used black substrate in the past?
I was thinking of going black with our 55, but some people who have gone black,...um...want to go back.

How do you like it?

I've heard that a lot of people don't like it because it shows every little speck of "non black" debris that lands on it. That's all.

well if u really sit down and look at it its got green in it but even with me moving my rocks around since i got it u cant really see anything on it. and its a vert bright sand there is some other "black sand" but its like charcoal gray and u can see everything.
!!!!!!!!!!!!UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
got some snails and hermits and a bubble tip it would not attach and it finally did so i turned my pumps back on and woke up with it in it so im trying to get him to turn around but idk. he also broke my maxijet so i ordered a new one and a korlina or what ever its calles new magnum powerhead. and a pump for my fuge and a t-5 light for the fuge cant wait till it comes in. but now im just making my way to pet shops and slowly finding what i want to keep

great to see you back. gotta love the ice cap stuff. i have 6 three footers over my for breeder frag. they are only regular driven and at 8" off the tank i cant keep to many sps above the half way mark on the tank without smoking them with to much light.
