well for those of you who noticed I have been off line, I"M BACK!
I finished re-doing the office floor and set up the computer and the mother board had fried, so0 now I am running a computer from '95. but I am up and running.
for those of you hoping for new pictures right away, I'm sorry to dissapoint, I just got the new camera today, thank you everyone who chipped in on it, I ended up with the nikkon coolpix S50 for 259+tax. I had a friend help out who matched what you all gifted me, and I made up the difference, so expect great pictures soon. I will update everything ASAP. my house is undergoing a com[plete remodel bathroom, kitchen, living room, and more, unfortunatly IO am doing all the work so my time on here is going to be very limited. I will start posting pictures as soon as the camera is done charging (about another hour)

Welcome back! Ya my blending project didn't go too good, and I'm going to have to remove the sand bed because of an algae outbreak. I may try red mushrooms with a food processor that chops instead of blending so dang good! I think I blended too well! LOL.

its back at his house, for the next four months or so since he is home for a while. he liked what I did with it so much he wants to change his 125g over to marine reef.
he is the one who matched what everyone else gifted me for the camera. I'll get pictures of it at some point now that I have the camera.

I have a ton of new stuff to show every one once I get this camera thing figured out. I hope everyone can be patient for just a little longer. I WILL find a way to get these pictures online even if I have to go load them at a friends house and e-mail them to myself.
but I have to finish getting ready for my brother-in-laws birthday bash/reunion with my old friends that I havent seen in years. from the indications this is going to be one heck of a hoopla, I get the feeling I am going to be severely hungover tommorrow.
and good times will be had by all.
this final paragraph is for every one that pitched in to get me the new camera

THANK YOU ALL SOOOOO MUCH. I LOVE YOU ALL (in a purely platnktonic manner) hehe get it platonic/planktonic.... I couldnt resist the bad pun.

Hey Reefkprz, Do you think because my mushrooms were umbrella that they didn't survive? Or did I blend too well?

Hmmmm...always an excuse for why there's no pictures yet.
Anyone else here think that while he was on his way to get the camera he stopped by the LFS and found they were having a "90% off all corals" sale, and that he just couldn't help himself--he just went nuts and bought a bunch of rare, beautiful, awesome corals that we'll never get to see pictures of because he didn't get a camera?!

Yeah, I didn't really think that was the case--I just felt like giving you a hard time.

Anyways, welcome back. I've been online a lot less lately, too. Most of my cruising and posting on this site has been done while I'm at work, but our IT guy has been cracking down on visiting "non-work related" websites. I know, most people don't see the relation between the automotive industry and SWF.com, but to me, they are actually quite intertwined. If I didn't have my job in the automotive industry, I wouldn't be able to support my saltwater addiction. Therefore, I do consider SWF.com to be "work-related."

Unfortunately, the IT dept and I just don't see eye-to-eye .
