I'm just so tired of seeing and hearing about people who stuff lots of fish into their tanks just for their own amusement.
Like keeping a ram and a molly in a 20g with an oscar  ?

Awwwww!, Glad I could help.

Natch. But I can claim ignorance because the fish store told me it was ok, after doing my homework, I have decided to move him into a 75 gallon. It's one thing if people honestly believe it is ok (bad lfs, etc.), but another if they know it is not and do it anyway. I'm tankful to have found this board so I will hopefully never make these mistakes in sw. It's unfortunate that I already made this mistake in fw. But there is a difference between making amistake and knowingly hurting a creature. That's where I draw the line. I'm glad to know that many who came in here had overcrowded tanks and then depopulated them when they found out their fish store wasn't exactly forthcoming. What I severely dislike are the people who I will see in fish stores and hear them talking to the owner, try to talk them out of stuffing lots of fish into their tanks, point out how big the fish is going to get, and they just give me looks and walk away. I had numerous customers when i worked in the fish store down here that would come in and demand the giant fish we were keeping. What to put it in? One woman wanted a 5 inch long angelfish for her 10 gallon! When i told her it was too big and would become stressed and died, she said she still wanted to buy it and see. Experimenting with a live animal. These people are the inexcusable ones.

Jillian- All I'm going to say is you need some help... Isn't Dr. Phil somewhere inTexas? I'm guessing you are against animal experimenting. And about the angelfish- her tank-her money- her fish- I know "im so ignorant"

Gather 'round boys and girls. It's time for Words of Wisdom from Dr. Phil:
Question -- Overpopulating a fish tank is mean and wrong, but putting them into a glass square to live for the rest of their lives isn't? Come on now guys, if you're going to argue about abusing fish, don't own a fish tank.
I'm assuming you eat food. Am I right? Oh no, please don't let a goldfish die, but sure, let's slaughter a cow for dinner. If you're a vegetarian, where do you draw the line? I could be wrong, but I think plants are living organismns as well.
That's all I've got to say for this episode. See you guys at 4/3central on CBS tommorow.
