trigges are very agressive and depends on what kind of puffer I beleive and if you want a reef set up or not, neither are reef safe from what I understand, and the level of agression depends on the trigger/puffer

right, I have a niger trigger and hes very gentle and minds his own business, but a clown or undulated would tear the puffer up.
Trial and error unfortunately.

For your info...I have a humu trigger that lives peacefully with a panther puffer, and a fiji blue spotted puffer.

i have heard that they are not good tank mates but then i have also heard stories of people keeping them together i think it really depends on the fish .. just like any other animal or even people for that matter .. there is always a different temprement .. one could be sweet as pie but then another of the same kind of fish would rip your arm of as soon as look at ya .. it really depends on the fish
i would say .. find the two you like maybe at a store or something and watch them and see how they are with there tank mates .. i am sure it would be a good indication on how they would treat other fish
GOOD LUCK
