Im going to quit

I cant get my stupid slime algae to go away. Ive tried erase, ive taken out each rock and cleaned it off. I've about had it with this stuff and im going to send my tank to hell if I cant get rid of it soon.
Does anyone know of any other way to get rid of it?
I dont care how extreme it is

You must have RODI water, failing that watch out for silicates, they are another source (as i am finding out  )
ALl the best,

IMO, id rather have slime then hair algae, its impossible to get rid of hair....
heres how i got rid of my slime, suck it out with an airline tube. Use RO/DI water, and do a weekly 10-15% water change. In about an month and half my slime was gone. Also cut the feeding to one every two days maybe once every 3 days. Dont over feed

i had a problem with it and reduced my feedings and am getting more circulation and its starting to help. i really think current plays a big factor in it because now it is really only growing in areas where you can see there is low flow. good luck and don't give up

I had a bad slime algae problem, lookea at my equipment closely and found my protein skimmer wasn't working properly. Soon after I got it working right, the slime started going away...If you don't have a skimmer, Get one. If you have one, make sure it is working right.

I was so mad because yesterday I took out each rock and put it under high pressure water......I took all the hair off.............scooper it out of the subtrate............added ERASE.......and when I got home from school it was all back
Damn slime
How much would a cheap ro/di fliter be?

Reduce the lighting period in addition to the water flow. I'm sure, by now, you've noticed how there is very little in the morning, but the algae is all over, later in the day.

I agree with Kipasss, find the source and your problem disappears. I, personally, am not a fan of dosing my tank with chemicals for something that, undoubtedly, I am doing wrong.
I had an algae problem and came to find out a number of things. (1) The ro/di water I was buying from the LFS had a ton of phosphates, (2) I was over dosing my tank with DT's phytoplankton given the number of corals I had, (3) cirrculation in my tank was poor in certain spots which led to algae blooms in those areas. I don't recall who said to do the 10-15% water change but this is solid advice as well.
I started buying ro/di from another LFS, cut out all dosing except for minimal feedings to my fish, added another powerhead and finally started doing 10% water changes every week for about a month. Problem eradicated and my tank settled down. I even cut out dosing B-Ionic but that was for a alk/calcium problem that I was battling also. The weekly water changes will keep your levels in check. Once everything settles down then rework your feeding and dosing (phytoplankton) schedule.

this was how i did it. First, i added chemi clean. then, I added a phosphate silicate sponge in my filter. After the treatment, i did a 20 precent water change. Haven't seen it since.
