I'm undecided about snails. Id like to hear some input and thoughts.

got a question about hermits, i just added 4 scarlets today and one of them seems to be upside down as i type this. i am assuming since i know hermit crabs can leave their shell for a new one, that they can also flip themselfs upright when they want to?
If it's alive, it'll be fine.

I wouldn't go so far as to say snails are bulletproof. Many people post here saying they can't even keep snails alive.
For cycle purposes? They are fine.
The problem around here is people buy way too many snails without knowing what those snails are going to eat, so they starve.
I will say that most snails are not hermit-proof though. A lot of snails lost that way as well.

Nassarius Snails are my favorite. You never see them until they need to clean up a mess. They help if you over feed or if something dies in your tank and you can't find it.
