Imperator Fish

I bought my Imperator about three months ago. I do believe that it has grown since I purchased it. It is about three inches now. Recently, I have noticed a fading or "bleaching" of the dark colors. Is he sick or changing? The fish has a very good appetite and rules the tank. The attached picture might show more spots that it really has because of the tank glass.

How big is it? I suppose it's going through color transformation. Btw, a gorgeous Imperator!

Yes, I believe he is starting his change. The fading on mine has started to turn yellow. I wouldn't be worried about him. The first parts to fade on mine were the back like yours and around his mouth, The mouth will eventually be gray or white when he is done changing.
