well every has experienced the ich problems, but if ur fish is tank bred how does it suddenly appear on it, and how does it get into ur tank, and after the ich kills ur fish it dies right, then how does it come back into the tank.
Well, the people who are saying that the fish is aquacultured could be telling a fib. Or, they could be sharing filters/water/equiptment with non-aquacultured fish.
You need to leave your fish fishless for 4-6 wks to clear ich out of it.
Chances are that all fish that you buy have ich, while you may not notice the sympotons. The signs usually show up the most when the fish is stressed for any reason, and indication that it's immune system is not functioning as it normally would.
so what precaution should i set up to make sure my tank is ich free, i cant set up another tank due to insufficient funds for temp controler, filter, powerhead etc
I perform hypo on all new fish. I havn't had an ich problem for some time now. There have been debates about perfoming treatments on fish that show no symptons, but it has worked for me.
