Impulse purchase - what should I do with it?

Great story... I can assure you that it won't be the last impulse buy at the LFS. This is a great hobby and I'm guessing that you'll be upgrading to that larger tank sooner rather than later!!

I need a good excuse to go to the LFS again tonight - I'm having withdrawals. Anyone have any I can borrow?

Beware of this symptom. This is how you end up with the lame container of PH buffer you don't need. Most of the time I use salt as an excuse. My LFS will quite frequently put a different brand of salt 50% off. So of course I have to stop in a couple times a week to see if I can get my bargain. I usually order my salt online, so it is just a form of rationalization. If it is not salt generally it is frozen food...gotta keep the varied diet rotation going...

Ohhhhhhhhhh..... good one! Fresh food! OF COURSE I have to go to the LFS often - since I'm still just learning I will be reading daily and learning new things I can try to feed my "pets" and will only buy in small amounts. That excuse is good for at least twice a week! It may be months before I have to buy pH buffer - there are so many things I still need that I don't have. And since it's such an expensive hobby of COURSE it only makes sense that I should go check for sales and bargains every chance I get. I will hate doing it but hey, if it saves me and hubby money, then no sacrifice is too great. (It may cost us a fortune trying to save money! LOL)
My bluefoot crab is walking around the tank WITHOUT a shell. Why?
(is he dreaming he's on a ---- beach?)
Guess that word isn't allowed.... I was trying to type "n*de"

Great story Sue, but who needs an excuse or a rationalization to go the LFS
? I just go to hang out with the other salt "geeks"
. Sometimes leaving after having a good "discussion" is as good as walking out with purchase in hand.

Do you have any "extra" shells in the tank so they can switch for some new real estate? But I guess that would'nt really explain why he is walking around without his shell.... They usually just find one they like and switch out real fast when the time comes.
