can anyone give me some info on inline heaters? I just put my heaters in my 225G and I hate the look....but I have no where else to put them
I was going to buy 2 new Finnex heaters, but now may consider inline so they will not be in my tank
any info or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Yeah those are pretty much the only ones I see as well. I've always hear they are junk so never really looked into them too much. Gotta install them inline with your pump which cuts down flow or else run them with a seperate pump. A tank your size you'd probably need at least 2.

the inline heaters are pure crap. slow down flow and could possibly clog it up later down the line

No room in the sump for the heaters, after all that is what sumps are for.
Not since I had to re-do it for the new skimmer....the water level isn't high enough....and the way the sections are divided I can't lay it across the bottom either
well based on the couple of negative comments.....from ones I trust....I will forget about the in line....

Do you have a pic of your sump? How wide is your sump? How long is the return section in your sump?

The sump is 12" wide.....the return section is 8"....the mid section is 14"...and then the "skimme" pump section is about 7"
This is how it use to be, remember....when I had the other skimmer the water level was high and I kept the heaters in the left section

Now they look like this

the stealth heaters are wayyyyy too long to fit anywhere

Too bad they don't make those under gravel heater cables in higher wattages...you could easily coil one or two of those up in the sump, somewhere.
