Well, my tank is about 18 months old and has done great. Recently I have been having problems and was hopeing that you guys could help me out. Im looking to learn more about the cemistry of the water. Im wanting to know where I can get a good test kit. Please, any information you can provide will be great!!! Thanks again

you can buy testkits online or at your local lfs....Just make sure its for saltwater. If you have a reef tank you will also want to pick up a test kit for alk and calcium

Ca=396mg/l
TH=300
Alk=140
pH=7.5
NO2=0
N03=0
Ammonia=0
What do you think? Do I need to make any changes? If so, how. Thanks

wow im impressed! N03 is hard to get to 0! thats awesome. mines like, 10. after weeks of trying to lower it. id raise the SG to about 1.024-1.026ish though.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll try to get that up a little. Will it help clear the water?
Also, I was wondering what the affects would be if I do one 50/50, 10,000/Blue 36 watt, and also do a double blue actinic light. Will this hurt my corals? I just really like the look of the blue light. Thanks

i dont think you want it that high. i think the best would be 1.020-1.024

That depends......do you have coral? If so your sg should stay around 1.025.

Yes, I do have mostly coral. Only have 2 clowns. So, Im going to go somewhere 1.024-1.025 and see what we get. Also, I just installed a 10" Led Moonlight. It looks great! It actually fits perfectly inside my sealed bulb fixture. It is angled at a 45, so it shines perfectly down the rock congifuration. Thanks for the help guys

you may want your ph up a little 7.5 is kinda low. most reefs or swt's are around 8 for ph
