In Tank Refugiums

One of the best additions I've ever made. Plenty of critters migrate to my display and zero nitrates since aboiut a month after I added it.Plus I was able to drastically increase the total water volume of my system. In my case the display is a 55 gal...the refugium is 60-70 gal easy! Plus another 20 or so in the sump.

Yikes!!! You said "in tank refugium"....big difference. Personally I'd think the space is too small to be of much good. Plus you'd have a lighting issue with the in tank type. Sorry for the confussion on the first post.....I really should pay closer attention!

Then do what you can even if it is only partitioning your tank with a piece of clear plexiglass with holes in it. Again anything to get macro algae growing is worth it. Protecting that algae is even better.

there is a hang-on fuge that you can buy that runs like an overflow box. that way you can have a fuge and not take up room in your main tank. i have never used one of these, but have seen them around.
by far, the best option is a stand alone fuge, as others have said. you could try just getting some macro algae and putting it in your main tank. if done right i think it can look very good.
