Indentations around head-HippoTang

Med-HippoTang, has always looked and acted normal, but recently developed Ich. Started Hypo treatment and took sg down from 1.024 to 1.009 over the course of about 5-6 days. While at that sg level started noticing indentations around it's fore head, behind and above gills.
Has anyone ever seen anything like this?
After about 3 weeks of hypo, started bringing sg back up. Last check sg was 1.016 (yesturday).
Water parameters
Amonia 0
Nitrate 20
nitrite 0
ph 7.8
calcium 225
phospate 0
alk 3.5
When dropping sg, I did have a fluctuating ph, and used ProperPh 8.2 to maintain consistency.
thanks in advance..

Shockingly been looking for answers all morning, and within 10 minutes of posting a question to an unknown condition, found a disease called Marine Head and Lateral Line Erosion, which I believe is the diagnosis.
kind regards,
Greg

Hi, Greg, you actually didn't have to leave Saltwaterfish.com to get info. See here:
Scroll down to the 14th info-post
https://www.saltwaterfish.com/vb/showthread.php?t=127007
and here look for examples of Head and Lateral Line Erosion (HLLE)
https://www.saltwaterfish.com/vb/showthread.php?t=127010
Also, generally, we don't allow links to other websites, but since you're new to our forum, I'm sure you overlooked that. Steve Pro is well respected for his knowledge about fish diseases, and occasionally stops by to visit us. Excellent article.
If you give us some info about your tank, and how you have it set up, we may be able to help you out with the HLLE.
Welcome to Saltwaterfish.com!
