Ok the indians are a game behind the redsox in the wild card race. Say the indians beat the whitesox today and the redsox lose against the yankees. That will make the two teams tied in the wild card race. What will they do then to decide who goes to the playoffs? Will the redsox and the indians have to play eachother?

When you have to rely on the fate of others to back door the playoffs it often does not happen. Better luck next year.
