I've had this birdsnest for about two months, and has been growing well, but today I noticed a small section of damaged tissue. The damage seems to be a popped 'blister' that I noticed a few weeks ago. When I first saw it, I thought the blister might be a new head of growth, since the coral has grown from 2 heads to 15 in the two months I've had it. It now looks like this is some sort of infection. I took the frag out and put it in lugols solution for about 15 min. It was and is in an area of good flow, 1/3 up the tank. Has anyone seen this? Any other treatment ideas?
I have added a few corals around the time this first appeared, but all of them so far seem ok. My water parameters are:
SG: 1.024
Temp: 80-82
PH. 8.0-8.3 daily
CA: 420
Alk: 10.5 dkh
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 0
The first picture is from March 18th, but the blister was present earlier. You can see the blister at the red arrow.
