info needed on puffer!

I have a puffer/lion that have not eaten since sat, the puffer seemed good untill this afternoon. He is lying in one place on the bottom of the tank, he also acts hungry but still is not accepting food. Does anyone have advice/info on sighns of puffers being sick? thanks:happyfish

Are there any white spots on the puffer at all? They seem to contract bacteria and ich easily when new in tanks.

No, I have been really watching him and he seems to look healthy. Is 3days without eating the frozen normal? My lion is also doing the same thing.

Is your puffer lying on its side? When puffers stop eating, it is a definite sign that there's something wrong. You need to figure out what's stressing out your puffer and lion. Did you check all the water parameters? What tankmates do you have?

Well I figured it out, we bought some live ghost shrimp & they both devoured them as fast as they could. So apparently the fish store was not just feeding them frozen.
* Now that I know they just wanted live how do I get them to eat frozen? I tried the garlic and feeding stick but they know they are dead & want nothing to do w/it.
(puffer/lion are the only fish in the tank as of now)
*Also how much & how often do I feed them live food?
The lion is quicker and therefore catches more than the puffer, he ate till his stomach swelled!
*How do I make sure the puffer gets his share too without the lion overteating?
