Hello, everyone, this morning I made a rather intersting observation about my Ocellaris Clownfish.
My aquarium stand has doors that are kept closed using a cabinet magnetic clicking latch. I keep my food in the stand. Today, about an hour after feeding my clowns, I opened the door to check the sump water level, and happened to look up at the clowns. I was surprised to see they were at the surface, and in begging mode. So, I closed the door, and waited for them to go back to normal mode. I then opened the door again, and the same thing happened.
I thought this was pretty cool, how they had learned to associate a noise with food. Just goes to show how smart fish are, and their ability to recognize a food source.
