Heavens though.... I am wondering did we not instead witness a murder! They said a recently dead limpet... I dunno, it was still stuck to the glass.
I had a pretty good population of coneshells/whelks in a tank I had set up several years ago.... I actually witnessed one take out a yellow tailed damsel, dayyyyyuuuuum!

That Limpet had been dying for about a day. As soon as the eyes glazed over about 6 of those Whelks popped out of the sand and made a bee-line for it. I'm positive it had just died.
