International Long Distance Ideas?

I call my girlfriend alot in COLOMBIA, does anybody have GOOD QUALITY LINES "cheaper" long distance company they can recomend to me please? Kind Regards, p.s SKYPE is NOT an option yet.

Have you looked into any of the VOIP companies. i.e Vonage

That was were I was going - Vonage is 9-10 cents a minute. However, if she has broadband he could send her a softphone/USB for $32 dollars a month (with taxes). I use vonage as my main phone and mobile for backup if Cable is down.

well im paying 5cents a min land line and 8cents a minute celular, with www.tel3advantage.com but the lines suck. i wouldnt mind paying a little more for better quality lines! regards!

I use Vonage. You can get the plan for $15 for 500 minutes/month. With taxes and fees, it is $19.
That's less than 4 cents a minute.

Columbia isn't part of the international plan - they list the prices as extra - Columbia depending on city is 9-10 cents a minute. Unless you can send her a softphone and she has broadband. Other than that it's pretty high.
