Introducing an anemone

Is it better to introduce an anemone to an established tank or into a new environment?
If the anemone is going to walk around to find the best spot and during this fase it will sting other corals it sounds like an "empty" tank should be better however I keep reading that an established tank is required

Your tank should be a minimum of 6 months old because by then your water parameters should be stable....with an anemone you are always taking a chance of it roaming. Lots of people post how their anemone stayed put for a year or so and one day just decided to move
