if i was going to put a coral to my tank and i need to give it time to get use to my lighting which is 2 175 MH and VHO, do i just place it where the lighting is not as bright or do i just expose them to the lighting in smaller time periods. how long do i let them get use to it and then move them. thank you

It depends on the type of the coral. What are you planning on adding? Some acros could go at the top of your tank under that lighting right away and some soft corals would probably always be best at the bottom of your tank!

I tend to place them at a spot that most closely replicates the light they were recieving at the LFS. I then gradually move then to areas with slightly more or less light depending on where I think it best for the particular coral to flourish. Usually over a couple of days.

those gusy are almost all low to med light, i would start them off towards the bottom and gradually move them up to the place that you would finally like to keep them!
