Introducing Plants to established Tank

Can Marine Plants ( IE: Shaving Brush ) be fresh water dipped ? Is there any worry that new plants will have parasites, etc etc ?

I put 4 different kinds of plants right into my reef system with no problems. I would dip them in fresh saltwater because they reek after shipping. Make sure you clean off any substrate that is left on the roots from the sellers. I noticed the paint brush plants tend to have a lot of that stuff on their roots.
I had paint brush, grass, and that purple stuff, and some kinds of green round stuff all in the tank at once with no problems. I am not sure about the bugs if there are any but just make sure you get your stuff at a reputable seller.

What plants are you guys talking about? I'm interested in doing some plants in my reef tank but have no idea what kinds there are or how to care for them. Is there a thread on here with this kind of info?

The plants I was asking about were the shaving brush type I bought from SWF.
I have added Chaeto and the shaving brushes to my newly setup refugium. I did do a freshwater dip on the new shaving brushes, and so far so good. Had them in for almost 3 weeks, doing good.
If you look on the SWF ivert section and under plants you will see the different macro type plants they sell, and then you will see the 2 kinds I am referring to here.

On a side note I also stay away from any type of Caulerpa - I have read ALOT on them and didn't want any possible side effects of them going "sexual", releasing nitrates and stuff back into my refugium.
I am sure there are people that do them, however I always play it safe when I can.

Celtic, I know about refugium plants and macroalgae... I have a refugium set up right now with chaeto in it. I also have had issues with caulerpa acting up. The only way to be really successful with caulerpa is by keeping your fuge lights on 24/7... caulerpa goes "sexual" when it isn't growing well. I've heard of shaving brush and maidens hair, but only recently heard about turtle grass (see pic below) which I'd really like to put in my display tank. It looks pretty awesome! Does anyone know where I can get this stuff???
