on the 18th of this month I introduced 2 false percs into my tank and now there is a slight algea build up on the sand and i was wondering what kind of inverts to get to get the job done

How old is the tank? Are you sure they are not DIATOMS? Do you have good water flow towards the bottom of the tank? Nassarius snails do a good job,, Also a good sand sifting goby will do the job if you meet all of the criteria..

my tank is about a month and a half old and i dont think they are diatoms cause it is a very light brown substance and arent diatoms dark brown

Diatoms can be any shade of "Brown" that ive seen, Is you tank stable and cycled 100%.. Whats in the tank right now? as far as livestock?

my tank has been cycling for over a month with lr and ls
as far as livestock just the false percs that i added last week and a tiny brittle star that hitch hiked last week aswell

Those COULD be still DIATOMS, give it some time and see if it passes,, Check you water parameters, I think your tank is in its final stages of the cycle process, how are your water readings? I would not add and goby to a "new" tank, I think they much better in more mature tanks,, dont overfeed, watch the amount of time you keep your lights on, and maybe think about some nassarius snail,, good sand stirrers... 1 or 2 every 5gallons..

Yea I would say get a cleanup crew should be the next addition when its time. Nassarius snails like MiaHearLvr said, some mexican turbos, and a couple hermits should do the trick.
