Invertebrate Comp with Dogface Puffer

I am looking to put a shrimp or crab or something in my tank but I am scared my dogface will eat it. It is not aggressive but it may be towards invertebrates. It gets along fine with turbo snails and blue leg hermits. Any suggestions?

i think you would just be wasting your money the puffer will most likely eat inverts

I put a Chocolate Chip Starfish in with my Porc Puffer. I also had a Peppermint Shrimp in with him for a time(eventually eaten by my Harlequin Tusk). Nothing is guaranteed though, especially considering that they will go nuts over live ghost shrimp.
