That's kind of a vague statement. Are you looking for a reason as to why?
What types of inverts, tank inhabitants, specs, etc are needed

are u testing for iodine? U really dont need to dose for it imo....just leave a molt in their for like a day or a half a day to replenish the iodine. Thats wat i do at least. Only thing i really dose for is cal&mag, which is in one bottle. I dose about every other week if that. So u dont think something is eating ur inverts, they are just perishing? Ive had animals go mia as well....

It all depends mainly on ur livestock, coral, and temp imo...im no pro and im still learning but i would agree w/ bang that it should be higher...1.025 or 1.024 at least. Take it up slowly

I fully agree with Bang Guy here.
As for the iodine dosing, a) don't dose if you're not testing, iodine can have terrible effects if too much is added and b) water changes usually replenishes enough iodine into the system unless you're doing bi-monthly water changes.
You might not be finding any remnants of the dead critters because you may have enough other CUC members to clean it up quickly.
How long do the inverts live for before they disappear on average?
I'd raise levels to 1.025-1.026. This is the happy medium. It accounts for evaporation and getting a little higher without harm or a little lower without harm. Just out of curiosity, what salt are you using?
