Inverts with hard shells ok?

I was just wondering if inverts with hard exoskeletons would be ok in my 120. If you look at my sig you can see how aggressive my tank is. I know that inverts and sharks, most eels, most triggers, and all loins dont mix but I think that hard shelled inverts would be fine.

Are you talking about shelled hermits and snails and the like, or hardshelled crabs and lobsters and such? Hardshelled crabs won't last with triggers... they just flip them over and pick that their soft underbelly. I suspect the bamboo shark would eat them too if size allowed, but that's just a guess. Shelled hermits will only last as long as their shell does.

I think jack said it all. I used to bring rock crabs home from the FS i work out and put them into my aggressive tank, the niger would tear them up. Everyone else just say buy getting the scraps.

Ya I have about 10 hermits and they are fine. thingking about maybe a Emerald Mithrax Crab or a Porcelain Anemone Crab or a Horseshoe Crab. Do you think that any of these guys would be ok?

its only time before the trigger flips them over and eats them or the shark does, and I say this from experience, I used to find broken shells every morning from my shark eating the hermits and snails i never caught him but I knew it was him
