how in the world do you take care of them, i really want a shrimp or something to help clean...but i have no idea what to feed them, how to, or what special treatment they need.
i have a 29 gallon tank, 2-3 inch ls several pieces of lr, false clown, bicolor pseudochromis, lawnmower blenny, and a diamond goby

Inverts are pretty easy to care for. They do need a higher SG than fish 1.025-1.026 is good. Most will happily eat any food that you throw in for your fish.

they will catch food as it's floating around ......once in awhile i will put some mysis in a cup with saltwater ,,,syphon it in a turkey baster and squirt it slowly at him.....him will usually grab it as it comes out .....and whatever he doesn't grab the others will take care of

Do you have any cleaning crews? I plan on going with a Cleaner Shrimp myself as they will clean parasites off fish. Coral Band Shrimp are another popular choice but don't do much cleaning other then eating worms and the leftovers from the fish feedings. Most shrimp will eat whatever you feed your fish.

I love my inverts! The cleaner in particular is very friendly, he likes to be hand fed brine shrimp. I normally thaw the brine but for him i'll break off a small chunk and hold it for him to eat. The peppermint will do the same but he's pretty indifferent as long as he's fed.
Keep in mind the peppermint will eat aiptasia for you and the cleaner, well he'll clean your fish if they let him.
Also, a pistol shrimp may make friends and buddy up with your diamond goby.....

Will peppermint shrimp realy eat aptasia?
if so would it be to many shrimp to add to my 55gal if I already have a cleaner and a coral banded?

i;m not 100% sure on this but i believe you can have as much cleaner crew as desired within reason anyway ie: 50 gal. tank 25 snails 15-20 hermits, 12-15 shrimp( these are examples only, i am not saying everything mentioned in 1 tank pick a group and go with that group) if i am wrong i will be checked for sure tobin

if you are looking for things that are going to help in the appearance of your tank go with snails first, then hermits, i don't think my shrimp really helps the appearance any significant amount.....i'd prefer 10-20 snails over one shrimp to help clean

but the shrimp help in preventing ich to me that is important ich can take everything, to me a good mix of shrimp and snails crabs is the way to go it just comes down to compatability, and the proper balance visually, i have a 150 and still need more cleaner crew my goal in my tank is 30 snails of different species for the sand and glass, 12 shrimp for the fish and i like them running around on my rocks, and 6 crabs for various specialty algae duties that to me sounds pretty good w/out any overkill, the compatability and the sevices rendered are my main concerns there tobin

coral banded shrimps tend to be mean too! so make sure theres room for your fish so its not right next to him all the time. and he EATS ALL THE TIME, hes a workaholic...at least in my tank

i don't have a 50 gal. it's an example, peppermints would be 1 type and everything i have read states that the inverts do not add to the bioload like also stated check for compatability, it just depends on what you like cleaners can be kept in groups coral banded can't. you just have to research
