i know you cant stock more than a few fish in your tank at a time but is this true with inverts?

You can even add all 12 at once. Inverts should be added as needed depending on your aquarium's individual needs. Of course, using discretion when adding them is important since too many can cause problems.
However, adding 6 of each all at once shouldn't cause any problems. Hope this helps,

Cerith Snails
Astrea/Turbo snails
1 or 2 Margirita Snails
I personally dont like hermit. With the snails I listed they get the job done
