The margin between a safe dose of Lugol's iodine and a toxic dose can be pretty thin - sometimes only a matter of a few drops difference. Iodine is not especially toxic to tissues, but is a potent irritant, so there would be eye irritation, digestive upset, etc. You might also worry about the antibacterial actions of iodine at high concentrations - it might kill the nitrifying bacteria that grew during the cycle break-in. My basic rule of thumb for water supplements - do not add supplement unless you have the appropriate test kit and can verify the levels. Otherwise, this becomes just another expensive way to kill fish.
