Will I be buying one? No.
Not spending $500+ for a phone and to get all the activated services is supposed to cost well over $100 a month.
No thanks. I'd rather keep my Razr and spend that money on my tank......errr I meant my wife and kids, yeah that's the ticket!

I want one, but I refuse to let AT&T HOLD A Monopoly on this item, THEREFORE i will wait till it come out on other networks, maybe it will even come down a little.

A year or 2?? I'm thinking in 4 months the phone will be 2 generations old!!
That's why I never got a phone... They keep changing them! I'm waiting for the one that sticks around.
One with dial, hang up, and numbers.
No maps, no directions, no text, no internet, no nothing fancy.
I want a phone like my home phone, cause by the time I learn to use these fancy gadgets, they're old.

I used to live in my blackberry.
Now upgraded to the Moto Q smart and LOVE the thing. Yes it does do everything.
Who else has/uses one?
As for Iphone, I think Ill leave it for the teens.

Got to say ALL the phone is INCREDIBLE. I manage an Apple store and about to head in to work for the day! I am so excited its better than Christmas. I will say to the nay-sayers just go to Apple.com and watch the videos on the product. Keep in mind I absolutely respect Microsoft and will always own their products but since I went Mac both personally and professionally the whole thing, CPU, OS software, support and iPhone is just awesome.
I will say and I am not being arrogant just stating a fact as a strong Windows guy still that ANYONE that says Apple SUCKS or is a joke just doesn't even know what we do or how they work. Can guarantee that any of these people haven't even actually looked at one let alone touched one in years becaseu if you did would switch that day unless you developed total unsupported bias or you are an "IT" person that just can't go to this platform.
Either way you go have fun with it but to bash the products at this stage in the tech game is an ignorance that is being spewed out with no merit nor basis..... hopefully I don't chagne the thread with back lash but before you do bash go to a store and use a Mac for more than 5 minutes. If you don't know what you are doing then ASK someone.
The phone is incredible and everything other phones have been trying to do for years this phone does.
Go whatever way you choose. RIM was up $30 bucks yesterday!!!! Good for me as a stockholder. Apple is in the same direction... either way you can't lose.

I am an IT person myself that fully understands the capability of a Mac. I am not in in any means bashing Apple products but the technology industry as a whole. This industry just cares about being the first to get a product on the market. Typically first generation products suck and I personally won't buy them.

i am on my 3rd ipod in 2 years, and this one is on its way out the door (3 hard drive failures). my wife's first ipod never made it through the first week (battery issue).

its pointless. i can fully understand the ability to access work features on something like a blackberry. if you have the need to use it for work, then i dont see a problem with something like the iphone. but, if you just want it because its new and cool, then you have some self-confidence issues that need to be looked into.

I'm still on my same 4 some-odd-year-old LG flip phone.
I remember how stupid I thought I was to pay $150 for a phone that can take a picture. The only reason I bought it was because I was going to have to get some phone sooner or later, either a cell or a land line stuck at my apartment.
Aside from the basic scuffs and wear and a few cracks on the outside screen, it looks just fine and works as well as it did the day I bought it. I haven't even had to replace a battery.
In other words, no the iphone is not amazing. For $500 it might be amazing if it would act like a secretary, screening calls, taking messages, and scheduling meetings. Just another technological gadget to make wealthy/not-much-common-sense people's lives easier/funner.
