I have a 120 gal tank and I would like to get a shark. Is the tank big enough and if so what is the smallest breed of shark that would fit my tank?

I haven't kept a red tail in many years; but I remember that they don't play nice with their own kind, so be sure to only get one.

No a 125 is not going to be big enough to keep a shark . a 180-220 would be ok to keep a coral cat shark . You should research it a bit and see what you can find out for information .

Welcome to the boards!!! Unfortunately, your tank is not large enough for even the smallest shark. They need much larger tanks because they grow large very quickly. Your tank could house many other interesting creatures though. What else are you interested in?

Yeah; and if you're new to the hobby, don't be too disappointed. Sharks are generally extremely difficult to keep and I'd hate to see you lose interest in this great hobby if the shark didn't work out. There are lots of fairly easy, yet aggressive, fish that should do well in your tank.

Tend to agree with the above -- and to me, if you felt like asking the question again next week.. feel free. It's a forum -- ask what you want if you don't feel like searching through hundreds of threads for your answer :)

Nothing wrong with telling somebody to use the search function. Thats is why it was made. Before I joined it answered many of my questions.
Can my a shark fit in my 120 is a easy question that has been discussed numoreous times. Its straight forward and the answer can be found in a few minutes. Now if the OP comes up with a more broad question like a list of fish they want to keep then we are here for them.
What other fish play are you intrested in goldberg33? Triggers? Eels? Lions?
