Im lookin to buy lights to support a reef in my 20g tank. i was wondering if 130w will be enough to support soft corals. it comes with 1x65w-12000k daylight pc bulb and 1x65w true actinic pc bulb.

I did it for a year (below) and it was fine. 20G long or 20G tall. I now have another 65W strip for a total of 195W. This is an old PIC before I knew how to shrink them properly.

1. is that a sun coral a little left of your shrimp?, and if so, how much lighting does it need?, and is it hardy?
2. what is that bright green coral at the top middle of the tank?
3. your tank looks awesome

Sun coral needs zero light. It just needs to be fed 2-3 time a week by hand. Most people cover it with a clear cup and blast in cyclopeese or something. This was a seahorse tank, so I was feeding 2 Xs a day anyway and they got theirs.
Bright green coral in top middle is the backing but I believe it is acropora. If that is what you were looking at.
Here is another Pic of when I moved everything to a 29G and made the 20G a fuge for a 54 corner. 195W PC and I weeded out most of the Xynia since this PIC.

grumpy, that crocea was fine under the pc? Ive only had them under hqi and was afraid to transfer them to one of my pc tanks. Im putting 130 over my 10g. Would the crocea get enough light there until it outgrows my tank?

I will probably be flamed for eternity, but my crocea has been under PCs up high for 16 months. I do use DTs and cyclopeese 2 times a week though. I had one die under my 250 MH w/ 350 HVO. I think he would be ok. Maybe mine is just a fluke but the LFS said it would work and it has.

My lfs has them under pcs but I was curious about the long term. So its been a year and a half and no color loss?

my crocea is under about 500W PC lighting (it came from a tank that had even less light than mine) aparantly they got it as a baby. now its about 4 inches.
