Is 2 Triggers in the same tank OK?

I thought that I read somewhere that Triggers should not be put in the same tank. I have a Niger and I want a Picaso and I saw the 2 of them cohabitating the same tank down at the LFS. This makes me think that I could get that Picasso because they were living nicely. Any suggestions? As always, thanks.

Depends on the size tank, mainly. Triggers get territorial and when the tank is not of adequate size, they'll start fighting/kill not only each other, but other fish.
Keep in mind that both Niger and Picasso will grow 10" - 15"+, so you're going to need a large tank, just for one, let alone two.

What you see at LFS has no relevance. Personally I wouldn't keep a Huma with anything. They tend to suddenly go on psycotic killing sprees with no warning. The Niger on the other hand is fairly peaceful towards tankmates including other triggers.

I currently have a niger trigger, Pink tail trigger and a clown trigger in a 180. They get along fine with minor bickering here and there. going to have to move the clown soon however, he is starting to get big so its about time for me to move him up.

I have 3 triggers in my 150g reef. There is a pair of Blue Jaws and a Niger and they leave each other alone. And they all leave my corals alone. The only problem I have is with the Niger moving the sand around and also he likes to move any snails or crabs out of the area he doesn't like them in.

eventually more than one trigger in a tank is one trigger too many, ive kept picasso, clown, and humu by themselves and they all can get aggressive. The clown trig is def out if you want to even think about another trigger for a tank mate no matter the size. Juvies will be fine for a while, but when they grow up...
