I just read through many threads but non seemed to answer my question. I have 30 watts flourescent on my 10 gallon. Would this be enough to sustain the following corals:
Mushrooms
Xenia
Hammer
Polyps
Thanks in advance

Mushrooms probably, MAYBE some lower light polyps, but not much else. (that is if you are talking about normal output )

it looks good, but I'm not that good with DIY Stuff. Is it that difficult to retrofit. It looks like all I have to do is run mount the endcaps and ballast and run the wire. Is this the case, and would it retrofit in my 20 inch flourescnet hood i currently have?

If you have the standard little hood that comes with most 10 gallon tanks than no. But you don't want that anyway because the glass layer filters out some of the light and you will also have heat problems.
