Hello im in process of setting up a 140 reef and its running some$$ but hopefully when all is said and done i will love it.
what is the width of the tank? i was told that 24" is great for reef aquascaping, 18" is ok or the min, and 15" is for fish... i think that was what i was told. mine is 18" but all that would fit where i put it.
HTH
Good Luck

The perfect reef tank in my opinion is a 240 96-24-24 anything taller than 24 is a big hassel. It is very difficult to work with I have a 240 that is 72-24-30forever I would never consider this for a reef. I also have a 135 72-18-24 much better but my dream is a 240 96 24 24 and one day it will happen. I use the 240 show tank as it is called "big mistake" for fresh water local fish. So I don't have to mess with it. It is built in the wall of my house under the staircase. That was in 1983 so we have to live and learn I guess now I'm stuck with it. Were people keeping reefs in 1983 like they are now, probably not I would guess.
