Is a goldentail Moray reef safe?

Depends on your definition of reef safe. It won't eat corals. It will eat small fish and crustaceans though.

dude, goldentails are awesome looking! very very shy though
They wont eat corals, may knock some rocks over when they get bigger(keep rock secure), they may eat smaller fish. They require a 55gal+

they are mainly fish eaters, a cleaner shrimp would be fine, same with snails and hermits.

I used to go to the local bait shop and buy live shrimp to feed my fish and my goldentail never paid them any attention. It was fun to watch triggers and lunare wrasse chase them around and feed on them though.
