Is a SeaClone 100 a good skimmer?

I have a 26 gal bowfront. It has been running problem free since june (8 months). I do not have a skimmer, but want to get one because i want to start adding corals. Is a SeaClone 100 a good enough skimmer for a 26 gal tank?
Thanks in advance.

i have read reviews on here from people who know what they are talking about, and they all said a clear 'no'.
read up some other posts, and it will tell you other brands to get over seaclone.

You can get a much better skimmer for a little more money. It works just not all that well. I had one and got rid of it for the Remora Pro.

for me, it has nothing to do with the expense of the skimmer. id rather pay more and get a better product. but the ones you all seem to mention are very bulky and pretty unnecessary for a 25-30g tank that im thinking of getting.
so im still looking for a great skimmer...on the hunt.

I'll be putting the Bak Pak 2R on my 29 soon. Seems to get good reviews on small tanks.

I really like that for a small tank or my second one would be a prizim delux.

Coralife Super Skimmer IV

Aquarium Systems Visi-Jet Protein Skimmer

Seaclones are good short term but long term use they arent just do to the fact that something ends up breaking/ going wrong with them.

The prizim is just about as big as the bakpak. Do a search on a well known auction site or google for pics and measurements they arent all that big.

both the bakpak and prizim are kind of ugly looking, but im going to go with one of those.
thanks for the input everyone.

I'd skip on the Prizm, it's said that they need adjusting all the time.
I would go with the CPR BakPak or the AquaC Remora

I have both a cpr bakpak and a prism. I prefer the prism. The bakpak requires far more tinkering than the prism. I think the prism is more efficient as well. Finally, the bakpak is quite noisy. Oh yeah, the backpack is much more visible in the tank. The only thing sticking in the tank for the prism is the intake which is a clear smoke color. The surface skimmer attachment on the prism it also unobtrusive. The surface skimmer on the CPR is bulkier. If you want the skimmer and bubble stopper attachment for the CPR, then your really talking ultra bulky. (there is an internal bubble killer for the CPR)

Maybe a Seaclone 150 but there are MANY better skimmers out there. I had a 150 I used on my 55, yea it skimmed, pulled gunk from the tank, but never seemed to be enough, Its on my 20 long now. I have an ASM G1X and I am a much happier reefer :)

SeaClone sucks. I have one in a box in my storage room, I'd give it to you if you lived in Richmond VA, but that wouldn't be very kind. Go with a Remora or Urchin--plug it in a forget about it--except to empty the waste chamber of course.
