I am trying to start a reef tank and wanted to get a RBTA. I read someplace that BTA may be bad for corals. is this true? I have a 46 G bowfront tank with frogspawn, candy, and mushroom corals. Please help

im sure it will be ok, i got one in my reef, it moved alot for awhile, but never hurt anything at all. just make sure your tank is stable, established good, and has proper lighting.

There is no way to know that it won't hurt anything, which is why many people will not have them in a tank with corals. They can, and will, up and move even after staying somewhere for long periods of time. And this can cause problems.
How old is your tank, and what sort of lighting do you have?

Technicaly my tank is about 3 months old. But actually its about a year an a half. My tank was sset up last year but due to construction in the house i had to take the contents to a smaller tank to empty out the water from my display tank. Now that the construction is done I resurrected my display tank again. that was 3 months ago. I have 46G bowfront with several pounds of LR and two 36 inch 97W PC lights for a total of 180 watts.
